Happy New Year!
I hope you have enjoyed your holidays and are ready for a fresh creative start for the New Year. Did you set New Year’s resolutions? Some feel the idea may be obsolete. My Dear Husband (hereafter to be known as “DH”) turned to the family just after our toast, at the stroke of midnight, asking us what New Year’s resolutions we were making. We all, including Prince the dog, looked at him as if he had lost his mind saying “Why set a resolution we aren’t going to accomplish and be disappointed?” Those involved in the mutiny (my son, daughter, and I, not the dog) decided we wanted to fly by the seat of our pants. The kids chanted with their fists pumping in the air, “freedom, freedom, freedom…!” (Yeah, this kind of stuff really goes on in my house. Besides the tune was kind of catchy) DH just shook his head. Now, after several days of being swept up in the moment, my DH would be happy to know (of course, I’m not telling him), I have made a commitment for the New Year. “Create more, worry less” is my resolution for 2013. Are you with me? (fist pumping would be appropriate right now) This way I can do something I enjoy, share it with others, and make the world a better place. A little grandiose, but if feels good. Trust me, everything else will be there. So, if you would like to join me in my commitment for 2013, I am offering a few events to get us started.
