My Story

Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is so rewarding. Not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends.

For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love.

I finally did it!  I took the plunge and became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  The half -price deal in November 2010 was just a bit too much to pass up, so here I am. I've been stamping for years, in fact, I know I've been stamping at least as far back as 2000 (wow- we're getting older), but I've never taken this plunge before. Mostly because I don't like to sell.

Most of you know, the pressure of having a party, getting people to come to the party and selling product (or wanting my friends to buy product) is just not my style.

So I've decided that I'll focus on the think I like best - making cards!  I'm going to do this by offering monthly Stamp-a-Stack's. For those that don't know - a Stamp-a-Stack (or sometimes called Stamp Camp) is when you Pay - Play - Pack.  You Pay an upfront fee (so I can cover the cost of materials), You Play at my house or some other location (make cards), and You Pack (you pack them up and take them home).

You'll be glad to know that since holding "parties" won't be my focus - you won't hear me asking if you want to have one. Now - lest you think I've gone crazy, if you really want me to come to your house and do a workshop, I'm all there.  We can work out the date and time to suit us both. But, if this is going to be fun for all of us, I'll just focus on the Stamp-a-Stack's.

I'm excited to have a creative outlet and we'll see how it goes.
