Would you like to know how I got started with Stampin' Up! and discovered THE best “job” in the world (that I truly love)?
I left my career as a Systems Analyst with a national bank in 1992 right before my daughter (second child) was born. I worked at night for an Insurance company, then switched to per diem work for the ER of a local hospital because it was rough on us giving up that wonderful paying career job when we now had two children and a home to support.
I had left my career to be a stay-at home mom because I wanted to be there for all the important things in my children’s lives growing up, yet I still needed to work and contribute to the family income. I had been a stamper since 1990 when I first learned about thermal embossing, and fell in love with the whole concept of stamping my own cards. I loved it so much, I sold my cards, gift tags and various items at local Craft Fairs, and even had my own business called "Creative Expressions". I never dreamed that in 1996 Stampin’ Up! would become my "new" career or that I would be doing it all these years later! (My husband thought I’d last six months!) Being a demonstrator has fullfilled a dream I’ve always had- a job doing something I truly love! It has enabled me to grow up with my kids, yet I’ve been self-employed running my own business-teaching stamping, papercrafts, scrapbooking and home decor to others.
I’ve earned things from countless free stamps to free cruises, met many wonderful people, some of whom have become dear friends. I travel to conventions and leadership trainings, have a stamp studio which is home to our demonstrator group the "SOS Team", teach classes, camps and conduct in-home parties. I love the freedom of running my own business, creating my own schedule around my family and earning a nice income too! Stampin’ Up! is a wonderful and unique company which offers a versatile home party business for those who simply want to pay for their own stamps with a discount, a part-time business for some and a career for others. If you think this is something you would like to know more about, please e-mail me. I'd love to set up a time we can talk about it.
