Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is so rewarding. Not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends.
For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love.
My Stampin' story started about 13 years ago. A friend and co-worker introducted me to the Stampin' Up! world. I had never stamped in my life, but found it intriging. I started purchasing stamps, paper, inks etc., but hid them in my home because I didn't want my husband to know how much I was spending. Surprise, surprise, when Christmas came around that year, my husband with a very straight face told his entire family that he was looking for a hiding place to put my Christmas gift, when he opened up a cabinet in my extra room in the basement and found all these stamp sets. Oh my gosh, I got found out. He laughed and thought it more hilarious to see the shock on my face. I was slightly embarrased. I got over that quickly.
Moving on to April 2009. I had been stamping for a long time now and had been in a couple of different hostess of the month clubs until I found the perfect demonstrator for me. I had talked to her about going to convention without being a demonstrator. Stampin' Up! had done that for a few years, so I really wanted to go and my husband was all for it. In fact he tried to get me to sign up for about three years and I wouldn't do it. I always had one excuse after another. Anyway, my demonstrator suggested to me to sign up to be a demo, go to convention and check it out and if I liked it and wanted to stay as a demo, that was great, but if not, I could drop. So, I took the plunge and have been a demo since April 28, 2009.
I mostly do card classes outside of my home. I started with ten ladies coming to my first card class three and ahalf years ago, and today I have built my business to six classes a month with approximately 60 to 75 customers attending my classes and I have one hostess of the month group with seven ladies attending. I am always looking for more fun loving, stamping customers. Are you one. Contact me to attend one of my classes or to become a member of my team.
