I have been creative ever since my mum made me and my brother colour in our own Christmas cards as children. Although I was reasonably academic at school, I pursued a career in Stage Management and prop-making, which took me all over the country on various freelance contracts.
Such a nomadic lifestyle isn't for everyone, though, and after ten years I decided it was time for a change of direction. I worked for the NHS, and undertook a masters' degree, but missed having a creative outlet.
Enter Stampin' Up! My cousin's wife is also a demonstrator, and she introduced me to the company. I can honestly say I haven't looked back: I love the products, and if I ever have a free moment (not often, admittedly, as I'm the proud owner of a three-year-old boy!) I'm found in the spare room, surrounded my scraps and immersed in my latest project.
I love to share my skills, and teach other people how to create a finished, professional-looking item that they can be proud of.
And I've never yet not made my own Christmas cards!
