During my college days, I was introduced to Stampin' Up! by a friend, and a group of us would attend Stamp Camps on Saturday mornings together. I had so much fun stamping cards and projects, and Stampin' Up! always stayed in the back of my mind.
Fast forward a few years, past graduation, to my first job, teaching first and second graders in Arizona. I enjoyed going to a few Stampin' Up! parties, and making Christmas cards once or twice, but stamping (and any other kind of crafting) took a back burner as I poured all of my time into my work.
After 4 years of teaching, I got married and relocated to Colorado. I taught for one more year, but when my daughter was born, I made the decision to stop teaching and stay at home. Being a stay-at-home mom is busy enough, but I enjoy the challenge of work and achieving goals, and although our family doesn't need the extra income, I want to contribute a little bit for the 'extras' (vacations, emergency fund, everything in the Stampin' Up! catalog!, etc.). I have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for about two years, and even though I am mostly a hobby demonstrator, I am loving the discount, and the opportunity to share what I love by doing Stamp Camps and workshops every once in awhile.
Stampin' Up! was my choice because it offered something that I love -- crafting -- and it gives me the ability to choose my own hours of work, decide how much or how little I want to do, and offers great discounts and benefits!
