About 13 years ago I saw an invitation sitting on my Mom’s kitchen table to a Stampin’ Up! Party.  The invitation was sent by a long time family friend.  I asked my mom if I could go as her guest in hopes of seeing the hostess’s daughter, a friend whom I had not seen for a long time.

When we arrived it turned out the friend was the demonstrator.  The entire time I knew that stamping was not for me, but I did have daughter who was very creative, so to help my friend out I purchased a Basic Black in pad, pastels and a stamp set for our daughter.  To further help her get started in her new business venture I booked a workshop.  It wasn’t long before our daughter wanted me to stamp with her and the next thing you know I was hooked.  I am not talking about liking it a little I mean I could not get enough of it.

One day my husband said, I think if you sell that they give you a discount.   I started to think of all the money I could save making my own cards, so I purchased the starter kit.  I planned to hold a party or two each month for fun and extra money to purchase more stamps.  My calendar started to fill up with parties and I was having so much fun sharing my passion for Stampin’ Up!  I continue to Love what I do and Share what I love and now my income does more than purchase extra stamps.
