About 18 months in, I started going over and using her supplies to make cards for specific purposes instead of picking something up at a store.
In another 6 months this became old, and I had to have my own tools and supplies. At first I thought I could go the "cheap" route and pick up things at my local craft store for much less than through Stampin' Up!. When I did this I was never happy with the results.
My friend pointed out that Stampin' Up!'s cardstock, designer papers and inks all coordinate, giving projects a cohesive look. I was frustrated that the "red" ink and cardstock I'd bought with my coupons were different shades (not to mention that the really cheap ink pads I first bought dried up immediately!). So I took the plunge and invested in quality supplies from SU! and have been a happy stamper ever since.
Fast forward another 3 years and it became apparent that it was (past) time to become a demonstrator. I love what I do, and I love sharing it with others. I hope you'll come craft with me!
