I began rubber stamping while in college amongst the many other crafts that I loved to do. As time went on, my stamps went by the wayside for cross stitching.  I continued stamping on and off when the need arose.  In May of 2004 I went to my first Stampin' Up! party as a guest of my sister-in-law Kim.  I had never heard of Stampin' Up! and had no clue that after just one party I'd be hooked!

I was the typical "guest" that really had no intention of buying anything but that one stamp set.  I didn't need anything else, I could shop at the local craft store.  Boy was I wrong....I did buy only that one stamp set, but then came home and told my hubby how much fun I had.  For the next 2 months, that's all he heard about.  I never wanted to be in direct sales, but I knew that I would spend WAY TOO MUCH MONEY if I didn't sign up.  So after a long stretch of going to meetings and learning about Stampin' Up!, I was finally able to talk him into "letting" me sign up.  From that day in August I was on my way to what has been the second most rewarding career in my life (being mom is the first!).  I have learned over the years that helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love.
