Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is so rewarding. Not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends.
For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love.
I first got started stamping in 2008 when I was invited to a workshop to learn about Stampin' Up and how to make handmade cards. Make handmade cards just like the ones you can buy in the store - really? I wasn't convinced especially since I didn't consider myself to be creative. But it was a night out so I went.
It didn't take long for me to get hooked. It was easier than I thought it could be and so much fun. Paper, ink, and stamps allowed me to be as creative and as artistic as I wanted. So I joined a monthly club and started creating cards and 3-D paper items. And with the paper and ink color coordinated, and stamps for every occasion, creating projects was easy and fun.
When my demonstrator retired, I became a demonstrator and took over the club in February 2012. Oh, and I haven't been in a card store since I attended my first workshop.
