My Story

How it all began...

My wonderful Journey as an Independent Stampin’ Up! Senior Manager began in November 2000 and what a difference it has made in my life. I enjoy setting my work days around my family life. It is very rewarding to be a Creative Coach by encouraging my customers and downline using the highest quality of rubber stamps, dies, digital program, scrapbooking and paper crafting products on the market today offering fresh new ideas and techniques.

I must confess, when I started in 2000, I was learning as much as I could about paper crafting, rubber stamping and scrapbooking. Fast forward to the present and I am comfortable and confident as an instructor. I always say, ‘No Experience Necessary’ to do what I do and to attend my classes. You learn on the job when you join us. My classes are for both beginners & intermediate paper crafters.  We all have a great time together! When you come in the door you get handed a Kit with all the prepared materials you need. Each station has the punches, stamps, etc. needed to create that project.  All you need to bring to class you Snail Adhesive and scissors.

For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the world.  After all, creating greeting cards, digital creations, traditional and hybrid scrapbook pages as well as home I and gifts is about more than just rubber stamps, paper and ink – It’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love. It’s about making a difference in the life of others!

Teaching creativity has been my passion even before I joined Stampin’ Up! But I didn’t know how to share or what to do. Once I found Stampin’ Up! Through an in-home workshop I attended we became best friends. We are a match made in Heaven. I’ve met friends (fellow demonstrators & customers alike) who have made a difference in my life.

After joining a partnership with Stampin’ Up! In 2000, I learned I could teach creativity through Classes, Clubs and In-Home Workshops/Parties. What a blessing it has been. I can’t imagine what my life would be without the friendships I’ve made since 2000 all thanks to Stampin’ Up!

Seeing my customers grow as they learn new ideas is exciting and rewarding. Some days we learn together and I love that! How fun it is when a customer has ideas that help me out! Especially when many of us initially come from a place of ‘I’m not creative or I would never think of doing that’. I am so blessed to be in a partnership with such a wonderful and caring company that makes me shine and helps me to make others shine through Creativity.

To experience the excitement yourself, please contact me today and sign up for a Class, Club, Book a Workshop (Party) or to become a member of my stamping team by joining Stampin’ Up!

I look forward to hearing from you!

My Stampin’ Up! Journey began in the Winter of 1998 when my friend Susan invited me to attend a Stamp Demonstration that she received an invitation to. Not knowing what Rubber Stamping was, my mind went straight to ‘Postage Stamps’. This brought back childhood memories with my Dad. We belonged to a Postage Stamp Club. I had a nice postage blinder we saved them in. My Dad really enjoyed doing this hobby with me and I loved spending time with my Dad, this particular hobby, not so much J

Knowing I would have a fun evening out with my friend no matter what we did, I attended this Stamp Demonstration with her. Little did I know that evening would change my life forever! Much to my ‘pleasant’ surprise, it was not about Postage Stamps, but Rubber Stamps, which I knew nothing about except for Librarians using a date stamp. I was so impressed by the talented demonstrator, but at the same time I thought I could never do this. I’ve always loved making fun craft projects, but this was a step UP. With little faith I could create such beautiful things, my purchase that evening was the Petite Frames Stamp Set, which I used to dress up my ‘postage stamps’ on envelopes. I never realized the irony of that purchase choice until many years later!

A few days after this party, I went on a search for stamping supplies, not yet realizing Stampin’ Up! Was the Golden Company to purchase the highest of quality crafting and rubber stamping supplies.

Needless to say, I spend A LOT of money on inks and flimsy papers that did not co-ordinate. My individual stamps did not match, so my designs were childlike and plain ugly, honest!

I decided to have my own Stampin’ Up! Party. Well, a light bulb went off in my head when she demonstrated using 80 lb. wt. cardstock in exclusive colors, as well as coordinating inks, accessories, stamp sets and wheels! That was the KEY to CREATIVE SUCCESS! My order alone was over $400. If I had only signed up then!

To be honest, my first demonstrator was talented but did not share vital information I needed to assist me in becoming a successful paper crafter.  I thought if I purchased some ink pads from one color collection and cardstock from another, I’d have a nice collection of everything. Do you know where this is leading? I now had wonderful products, but I still couldn’t tell I had any talent because I did not purchase the right tools. Then my friend Cindy, who attended my party, invited me to hers. This is where I unexpectedly met my up-line, Denise.

Denise and I talked like we were rabbits on speed. We talked so fast and laughed so much I was ready to explode from the excitement. I learned valuable tips that gave me SO much confidence so quickly. This demonstrator invited me to her Open House which was the following weekend where she demonstrated products from the new catalog.

She greeted me so warmly and made me feel very welcome. It took over an hour and a half to get to her home, but it was worth it. After the demonstration, I asked if I could have a Demonstrator Contract to take home and look over with no strings attached.

I never had any interest in being a sales person, but I could see I wanted just about everything in this new catalog. I also had five friends who stamped and told me they would help me reach my quarterly minimums.

I called Denise and told her, I think I would like to sign up, but I do not want to be pressured to Recruit or Sell. I wanted to enjoy being a Hobbyist. That was fine with her and she never pressured me once.

Funny thing... I did start out as a hobbyist but fell in love with Stampin’ Up! so much I decided to turn it into a small home-based business. Once I set my mind to make it a business, I have been recognized for earning milestone awards in Personal Annual Sales, 200K Sales, Recruiting and Incent Trips because I love what I do and do what I love. My job is fun, easy and rewarding!

I ended up joining in November 2000 and it has been the best decision in my life. I now have fellow demonstrator friends all over the world, wonderful customers, great friends and a fantastic downline!

I am so thankful to God, my family, friends, and customers for helping make my dreams come true.

I do what I love, Love what I do, and make a difference in people’s lives. It’s not just a job, it’s a passion!
