Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is so rewarding. Not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends.

For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love.

Ever since I was a kid, I have always enjoyed playing with paper. Fortunately for me, as an adult, I found a career that allows me to play with paper and earn money doing so!

I began my business as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator shortly after the birth of my first son, Jacob, when I was laid off from my job as a Technical Writer. Knowing that our newly tightened budget would not allow me to indulge in my craft, I signed up as a demonstrator to receive discounts on products that I couldn’t do without.

To maintain my business, I started a monthly Stampers’ Club with some girlfriends. I booked a few workshops and my business began to grow. I got my first recruit and I began to realize that I could actually make money doing what I was doing anyway. So, my hobby turned into a career. After I told my husband, Danny, that my first convention would be in Las Vegas and he could tag along, his renewed support helped me realize that I should set my goals high knowing that he would help me however he could.

As I begin my sixth year with Stampin’ Up!, I am proud that my family continues to support me, travel with me, and even occasionally stamp with me. We all enjoy spending time in my craft room (okay, so Jacob, Danny, and Ryder just like to play with the Wii and other toys I keep in there for them), but my hobby is a family business and I encourage anyone who would consider a career with Stampin’ Up! to ask questions and DREAM BIG!
