Snowflake card

Added by My Project Ideas Category : HandmadeCards Difficulty : In a Snap (Easy)

Do the card insert first, using the Whisper white cardstock (5.5x3.75 inches).

Stamp the ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment with Lost Lagoon in the bottom right-hand corner of the card.  Line the cardstock up on the Stampin’ Up grid paper to ensure you stamp the sentiment straight.
Using the fine tip glue, stick the thin strip of Pool Party cardstock just above the stamped sentiment.  Leave to one side to dry.
Card front – Stamp the ‘Sending you a flurry of warm Christmas wishes’ to the bottom right-hand corner of the cardstock in Lost Lagoon ink.

Using Pool Party ink, stamp the double snowflakes twice, around the sentiment.  The larger snowflake should just overhang the edge of the card.
Stamp the double snowflake in Lost Lagoon on a scrap of Pool Party cardstock.  Punch the snowflakes out. Keep the smaller snowflake to one side – it will be used when making the tag.
Using tombow glue, stick the glimmer paper to the left-hand side of the card stock.  Leave about a 1cm gap to the left.
Add a medium sized rhinestone to the middle of the larger sized punched out snowflake, and adhere to the card with a dimensional.  Stick in the middle of the card, over one of the small stamped snowflakes.
Score the large piece of Pool Party cardstock in the middle.  Adhere the insert in first, use the bottom of the card base to ensure it is straight.
Fold the card in half and glue the card front onto the card base.

Insert the Pool Party cardstock into the Angle Tag Topper punch to create the tag base.  Use the corner rounder to round all the corners.

Use the corner rounder on the Whisper White cardstock.
Use the second largest snowflake and stamp it on the Whisper White cardstock roughly in the middle, it will go off the edges.  Use Pool Party Ink.  If you want the snowflake to be lighter in colour, stamp first on to scrap piece of paper and then stamp onto the project without re-inking.
Using Lost Lagoon ink, stamp the ‘Be filled with wonder, be touched by peace, believe in the miracle’ sentiment over the snowflake.
Glue the white cardstock onto the Pool Part tag base.
With the small punched snowflake, created when making the card, add a small rhinestone into the middle of the snowflake and using a stampin dimensional on to the tag – wherever you feel suits best.
Fold the ribbon in half and feed through the hole and knot.  Trim the ends to suit.
