My Story

Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is so rewarding. Not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends.

For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love.

I like to say I'm a rocket scientist by day and a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator by night.  My crafting friends don't believe the rocket scientist part, because who actually knows a rocket scientist.  And my engineer friends are often surprised by the Stampin' Up! Demontrator part because for them, that is like Spock painting a masterpiece.  (I only know that because my husband is a Trekkie laugh).  I'll admit, it is a unique combination of interests.  But, I think that is what makes the world a fun place to be.

When not calculating the specific impulse of a rocket engine or making beautiful creations with Stampin' Up! products, I'm a wife and mother to four kids (3 girls and a boy).  Our busy household also includes a wonderful black lab (named after the first dog in space, Laika), two cats, and a bunny.  Between soccer practices, band/music performances, scouts, church and Tae Kwon Do, our family is on the go!  That is one reason I love the Paper Pumpkin Subscription.  I can often take it with me and enjoy some crafting time on the go.  For other projects, I'll do some prep at home and then package it up on the go in a shoebox size plastic box.  Yep, I'm that soccer mom on the side line making cards between games during tournament seaons.

Outside of family, work, and Stampin' Up!, I have some other passions.  One is Mission Work in Tijuana, Mexico.  For years, I've supported from afar, preparing scrapbook related projects for the ladies outreach, but in the spring of 2016 my daughter, Tessa, and I went to Tijuana and experienced the mission first hand.  I loved the people and the city.  Other passions are Thai Kickboxing.  While my duaghter is in Tae Kwon Do, I'm in kickboxing working toward my black belt.  Our family also likes to run the occasional 5K and we never miss Jingle Bell Run in Seattle.  It benefits the Arthritis Foundation which is near and dear to our hearts because two of our daughters have rhuematoid related illnesses.

Now, if you've made it this far, thanks for checking out my site and I hope you and are can create something together!
