As a new Stampin’ Up! demonstrator (since Feb. of 08) I am amazed at how much fun I have had with friends both old and new. I tell my friends that I am just a kid and when they see me with paper, markers, stamps & pads, glue and pretty papers they believe!
I started on this journey as a scrapbook fanatic and started "scrapping" cards for family and friends. Well, it took a lot of time and supplies to create them. Then a friend at work had a card with a Stampin’ Up! image that I recognized. She introduced me to her demo and the rest is history. I AM TOTALLY HOOKED.
Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is my second job but is so rewarding and fun that it is not like a job at all. Not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. Everytime I hold a workshop or class I always learn something new.
For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the great feeling. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love.
My personal journal...
7/8/09 We just returned from a long weekend in Georgia with our daughter. She is getting married and we went down to meet her fiancee's family. Keith is a great guy and his family is very warm and welcoming. We had a great time.
While we were there my daughter and I worked on the design for her announcements. I now will create one using temporary adhesive, send it to her for final approval, and once I have that approval I will get busy getting them made so I can send them to her in a timely manner.
Hope you had a great holiday as well and have a great weekend coming up.
