INTERESTS: I am a dog fanatic! I share my home with two fabulous Boxer dogs, Muffy and Brody, who are often featured on my blog, The Stampin' Schach. Muffy is an aspiring author, who loves to get her paws on Mom's computer to write her column, "Twin Talk". I also love watching re-runs of "Monk", "Psych", and "House". It seems I have an interest in TV shows with one-name titles! But I also enjoy "Burn Notice" and "White Collar"!
HOBBIES: Scrapbooking, cardmaking, reading (especially mysteries), and listening to classical music, especially trumpet concertos, are the hobbies "du joir". I am a long-time collector of vintage Fiesta ware, and sold it nationwide before I retired from owning my own antique shop several years ago.
FAMILY: I am married to my best friend, Kim, who is employed by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. We have one incredibly talented son, Brady, who will graduate from Western Illinois University. His major is trumpet performance. Grad school will be in his future.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND: I taught science in a small high school in southeast Iowa for 34 years before retiring in June,2010. I taught the subjects of Anatomy, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. I was as passionate about my teaching as I am about cardmaking and Stampin' Up! I am a Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen Alum, and currently hold posts on two design teams, Pals Paper Arts and The Paper Players.
