I've got two little boys that don't allow for too much down time or "BIZ" time for me, so this is the perfect opportunity. I get a discount on what I love and work at my own pace while also being a mom that can go to all the school and sports functions without taking "time off". In this day in age, that is a true luxury.
I started with Stampin UP! when a friend hosted a party back in 2004? I signed up that day, but only as a hobby discount. That lasted about a year and then I was working on baby number 2. Along with that, came complications so I stopped doing a lot of things for awhile and just concentrated on his healthy arrival. Then, when he turned 3 last year, I decided to take the plunge again, only this time as a business opportunity, not just a hobby. I hold workshops whenever I can and stay well connected in the Stamping community.
For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love. There is nothing quite like a hand made gift. It shows people how much you love and care about them that you took precious time out of your schedule to create something just for them. Get your kids involved too- mine love it! They have their own stamp and ink collection and make the most beautiful cards.
Anyway, now that I'm 7 years out of the "corporate" world and into my own business, I couldn't be happier. I always welcome questions and concerns and hope I can be of assistance to you! :)
