Inspiration is always the beginning of a hopeful journey.
I was invited to a Stampin’ Up! workshop for the first time in 2005 and fell in love with the products right away. I didn’t realize how simple it was to make a home-made card! I loved that all of the products were colour coordinated. It made it so easy to put together a card and took a lot of the guess work out of it for me.
Once I started stamping with Stampin’ Up’s great quality products, I was unbelievably hooked! This was my new creative outlet! I always enjoyed crafts and making things, but often found I never finished anything as it all took so long! Making a card not only filled my creative need, but I could do it in a reasonable amount of time and it came so easily because of the colour coordination made simple by the company.
After a year of consideration and then having my second child, I decided to try being a Stampin’ Demonstrator. I wanted to start while I was on my maternity leave and then be able to work at home on what I love when my maternity leave was finished and I would have to return to my nursing part time position.
Well, my daughter is 12 years old now and I’ve had a third child since then. I still love Stampin’ Up! I am able to make a little bit of extra money doing something that I really enjoy. I still love that the colours of ribbon, paper, ink and embellishments are all coordinated, but what I love even more is sharing my passion for Stampin’ Up! products with the community of crafters whom I’ve come to adore. I especially love seeing the same enthusiasm in a new customer that I remember experiencing 12 years ago! And I love showing others how to create a card or project and hear them say “wow!” or “look what I did!”
