NC Demos October 2018 Blog Hop - Three Takes on Wishing You Well

Welcome to this month's NC Demos Blog Hop.  If you have already stopped by Jo Anne's post, you already know our thiem this month is take three,  and I know you say something you have to add to your list to try.

So, what is the deal with take three if you are just joining us.  Well, I have lots of customers ask me how I decide on my must have stamp sets or bundles. My reply is always the same. You want to be able to do three different things with it. So, you can use it for three different holidays or occasions. Do three different techniques or use it for three different kinds of project like a tag or gift bag, a card or a home decor or 3D item.

One of the stamp sets I think is perfect for a new stamper or someone who really wants to get a lot out of a set is the Wishing You Well stamp set found in this year's Holiday Catalog.  I loved it so much it was the featured set for my October Cute Cards Quick.  W
e made ten total cards with it for card giving all year long.  So I actually got four seasons not just three occasions out of it which makes it a winner in my book!

I will say that the Stamparatus is a MUST HAVE with this set.  It makes the two step stamping a no brainer and you can make a lot of these pretty cards quickly with it.  My group actually made all ten cards in two hours and four minutes which is an all time record for Cute Cards Quick!
All the cards started with pretty much the same measurements and are all basic stamping.  We did add Copper Shimmer Paint to the fall weath card which everyone loved.

  • The cardbases are all 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2 inches
  • The squares for the flowers and the Christmas wreath are all 3 x 4
  • The Pear Pizzazz & Granny Apple Green layers on the flower cards are all 3 1/4 x 4 1/4
  • The DSP on the Christmas wreath card is 1 x 4
  • The Merry Melot piece on the Fall card is 3 x 4 and the Nature's Poem DSP is 4 1/4 x 2
My advice as always if you are trying to make a lot of cards at one time is to do all of your cutting including die cutting and embossing.  Then stamp and assemble.

Thank you SO much for letting me share my Take Three (or Four) cards wtih you.  I hope this helps you decide which stamp sets you must add to your collection.

I am off to check out what Sue Root has for us this month.  You should come along!  I know it will be wonderful!

Please let me know if you have questions or need to order supplies for an upcoming project.  I would love to help you!

Happy Stamping!

Hi there!  If you have been waiting all week for the next Chrstmas Card sample for the 12 of Weeks of Christmas campaign I want to apologize.  I had a VERY exciting week starting with an emergency appendectomy last Sunday evening.  I am recovering, but it has been a VERY slow process and you really don't wait to see what I might have come up with for projects or posts while in terrible pain and/or on pain meds.  It might have been interesting, but it might also have been a disaster!  So, better late than nver is this week's sample using the Winter Woods stamp set.

SUO Challenge

Hey there!  Welcome to this week's SUO Challenge!  This week is all about showcasing the Holiday Catalog!  I love this catalog!  There are SO many wonderful products!  I know lots of the group are sharing Christmas cards this week, but since I am sharing two Christmas cards with you this week during the 12 Weeks of Christmas group I thought I would share my favorite thank you card of the moment which features the Falling for Leaves Bundle.

Okay, I am going to be honest.  This was NOT my favorite Holiday Catty set on first glance.  I even told my downline that I would not be ordering it. Well, that didn't lst long after I saw all the fabulous samples and ideas that are out there using it.  Now I am kicking myself for not ordering it sooner!

This card was SO quick and easy!  Here are the measurements:
Very Vanilla Thick cardstock 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2
Wood Textures DSP 3 x 3
Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine 9 Inches
Scrap of Crushed Curry to die cut your leaf

Once I cut all my paper I used my Stamparatus to stamp my greeting in Early Espresso.  Then using my second plate I used the Hinge Technique to stamp my leaves.  Once this was done I was able to assemble my card in just a few minutes.  It was that simple!

So, my post is short and sweet this week, but there is still more to see at the SUO Challenge page!  Don't forget to check out what the other members of our group and created and share your own projects with us!  We love to see what you are doing!

Thank you for stopping by.  Please let me know if you have questions or need help ordering the supplies to make this fun and easy card.  I would love to help you!

Happy Stamping!

NC Demos September 2018 Blog Hop - Think Outside the Box

Welcome to the NC Demos September Blog Hop. If you have already visited blog of the very talented, Jo Anne Hewins you know our theme this month is thinking outside the box. So we are sharing projects created using anything that comes in a box or kit.

Since I have been on Thailand for the last two weeks this was a great theme for me. I always love to have something to work on while we travel and Stampin' Up! kits including card and tag kits, Paper Pumpkin and the Memories & More kits make it so easy to have everything you need, but only take up a small amount of space in your carry on or luggage.

I actually brought two different kits this time. The first one is a Memories & More kit to make samples for an upcoming stamp camp. You can see some of these samples on the Stamp Pad Facebook page. I also brought the Christmas Traditions Punch Box to make gift card holders that i plan to have for sale at the Sip, Shop & Support event I am helping host in two weeks. If you are in the Raleigh area please join us on October 16th. See all the details on my blog or on Facebook.

Anyway, These little gift card holders are so quick and easy to make with the Envelope Punch Board, just a little DSP and adhesive. Then you csn finish the off with the darling tags made with the stamps and coordinating punch from the Punch Box. Use the measurements for the smallest envelope on the Envelope Punch Board.

Well, i am off to enjoy our last day in Thailand. If you have questions or would like to add any of the supplies I have used to your stamping stash please let me know. I would love to help you!

Don't forget to pop on over to see the fab project Frances Wagner has to share this month!

Happy Stamping!
