Paper Crafters May Blog Hop

Welcome to the monthly Blog Hop of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. This month we are featuring Happy Father’s Day/Thinking of You/Guy projects. I started my project with a card base of Tranquil TIde. I stamped the sailboat from Swirly Birds (#141749), a stamp set that is retiring this month, and then pieced it together. It is stamped in Early Espresso, Tranquil TIde, Blueberry Bushel, and Balmy Blue. The background, stamped in Balmy Blue, on the Whisper White circle is also from Swirly Birds. Such a versatile stamp set! The sentiment, from Itty Bitty Birthdays (#148618), is stamped in Blueberry Bushel.  Both sircles have a shadow of Blueberry Bushel behind them.  I finished the card with some Linen Thread.

This month we are giving a fond fairwell to our Retiring products. You may have arrived here from Lori Helvick's blog.  Following me is Mary Heinzman. Let us know what you think of our projects!

I created my card using 3 retiring stamp sets: Bunch of Blossoms (141573), Timeless Textures (140517), and Vertical Greetings (141876). I also used the Blossom Builder Punch (141469) to punch out the flower petals and centers. Inks are Calypso Coral, the retiring Powder Pink, Garden Green, Soft Sea Foam, Smoky Slate, and Black.

All Waddlers for this month:

2019-2020 InColors

One thing I love about the new annual catalog is the refresh of our In Colors! While it's always sad to bid a fond farewell to five colors I've grown to love, it's always so exciting to welcome five new colors to create with. I really love these new colors: Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray and Purple Posy. You will be seeing them later this month and in June!

Paper Pumpkin Kit

Have you heard about the special edition Hugs from Shelli Paper Pumpkin kit? This one-of-a-kind kit was influenced by Stampin’ Up!’s board chair and cofounder, Shelli Gardner, and reflects her personal papercrafting style. You’ll love the adorable floral box and the elegant, spring-themed vibe.

Cling Stamps!

TIPS about the new CLING STAMPS:
Once you place the label on the stamp, it is adhered permanently. Attempting to remove or adjust the label will damage the stamp’s foam. Here is how to add the Cling label to your stamps:
  • Remove the paper backing from the label.
  • Remove your selected stamp from the rubber sheet and remove the paper backing from the stamp.
  • Leave the rubber sheet lined up with the label sheet
  • Line up the foam side of the stamp with the image label, then press it evenly through the opening in the rubber sheet matching the stamp you are labeling, to adhere it to the label. Make sure it is correctly positioned before you adhere it to the stamp.
  • Flip the stamp/label sheet over. Gently rub the image and lift the table sheet away.
  • Place the stamp on an acrylic block to begin stamping. No need to press it down.
To remove a stamp from the clear block, grasp securely near the image label and remove slowly. (Cling stamps stick so well that if they are not carefully removed from the block, the foam can tear.)
If you find that your Cling stamp is ‘too sticky’, simply dab it on your sleeve a few times. This will not hurt your clothes in any way but it will ‘de-stickify’ your Cling stamp slightly.
To clean the labels, simply rinse under running water and pat dry. IMPORTANT: Avoid alcohol-based cleaners!
Love your Stamparatus? The new Cling stamps work amazing with the Stamparatus too!

You will LOVE stamping with the new CLING stamps! Here is information about the future of Stampin’ Up stamps:

When the NEW annual catalog is released in June, ALL stamps will be offered in either Cling or Photopolymer. The only exception is background stamps, which will still be available in Cling or Wood-mount.
