Team Card Swaps for July Gathering

My Stampin' Up Team Swap theme this month was a Sketch Challenge. (I've shared the sketch toward the end.) It was really fun to focus on a layout as it gave structure and focus for designing the project. I think everyone enjoyed this swap! Some people stuck to the exact sketch and others varied it a bit. It was fun to see each persons take on the layout.

Ammie really went above and beyond with a super cute 3-D item to go with her card. To be fair, for the contest, we only voted on our favorite swap card (not the 3-D item). I know you are going to love all the swaps plus Ammie's 3-D item! With such great swaps it was really hard to choose!

Melissa Riehn's Swap Card featuring The Jar of Love Stamp Set and Everyday Jars Framelits - I love the night sky that Melissa created here! She did a bunch of sponging and then used a glue splatter technique to apply the glitter. She also used a white gel pen in the sky as well. I love what she did!

Jennifer Granstrand's Swap Card featuring The Daisy Delight Stamp Set, Daisy Punch and the Delightful Daisy Designer Paper (DSP) - Jennifer used two stamped, punched, daisies with one being full ink and the second being stamped off. She also sponged two of the layers with Daffodil Delight ink. So crisp and pretty!

Peggy Rishe's Swap featuring the Vertical Greetings Stamp Set and the Eastern Palace Specialty DSP - This box is made with just one piece of cardstock that is cut and scored and is held together with a belly band. There's a photo ahead with the box open so you can sort of see how it is created. What a fun project!

Claudia Keene's Swap - So Claudia was inspired to make this card because she just got a brand new car and was over the top excited about it! She went from a minivan to a much more sporty car. You might even call it a sports car. We were all very excited for her as she shared the details at our team gathering. Congratulations Claudia! One of these days I'll graduate from my minivan too!!!

Katie Spencer's Swap featuring the Big on Birthdays Stamp Set, the Wood Textures DSP Stack and Heat Embossing in Copper - So Katie made her card in the landscape orientation and used a belly band. The copper on the DSP is so pretty plus she used a bit of the copper thread as an accent on the belly band. Very striking don't you think?

Katie was the winner of the contest and she received the NEW Embossing Paste, Palette Knives and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks as her prize! Wahoo Katie!! Congratulations! FYI, for one of the Make n' Takes at this Team Event we played with the new Embossing Paste so I thought it would be fun for that to be the prize. I'll be posting those projects to my blog soon!

Ammie Hintze's Swap featuring the Daisy Delight Stamp Set, Daisy Punch, Delightful Daisy DSP and the Wood Textures DSP Stack - What a lovely cheerful card this is! I just love it! So hold onto your hats because as mentioned earlier Ammie also created a coordinating 3-D item that is just the cutest thing ever! Plus when you pair the two together it just makes me so happy!!! It's the small pleasures in life right?!!!

So, here's the pair... Do you not agree with me on the cuteness factor? Does it make you happy too? She actually made different versions of the wagon too and I ended up photographing two of them. This first one has a wood heart embellishment on the front. Scroll down to see the other one.

Here's a close up of the second version of the wagon. A Boxwood Wreath Embellishment was used on this version. Plus... in each wagon there are FIVE punched flowers with multiple layers in each. She also included a Gold Faceted Gem in the center of each flower!

So I also created a card design using the sketch challenge. It was one of the Make n' Takes for the gathering. I will be sharing that project in a future post so stay tuned.

I hope you've enjoyed all the awesome handiwork of my team! I so enjoyed the swap projects this month. I have a very talented group of women on my team, if I must say so myself! You go girls!

A supply list of the featured products used on the swaps is included ahead for your convenience!
