Crafty Friends

I hope you enjoyed the world card making day on Saturday.  Having three small children, it is always difficult to craft at the weekend – but I managed a session while hubby cooked the dinner.  Using inspiration from another demonstrator and the internet I tried several variations of the same style to work out what I could do for a quick make session I am running at my local library.

I used the ‘Flurry of Wishes’ bundle.  This is one of the many things I love about Stampin’ Up, the way the punches match the stamps and the stamps match the punches.  By that I mean that with this set Stampin’ Up have created a specific punch to match some of the snowflakes in the new set, however they have also designed a snowflake to match an existing punch.  It makes each item multi-functional, value for money and relevant to different projects.  It helps us, the crafter, to make our creations look complete and well finished.
I just want to mention that two of my friends
arranged a crafty retreat this weekend to start on their Christmas cards – she sent a picture of their creations, and I think you will agree – WOW.  Well done to you both.  I am sure it was hard work and taxing (not!) but you have achieved some wonderful cards.  I guess I ought to start on my Christmas cards (gulp)!

If you like making cards with friends, then the fortnightly Craft Club is running this Thursday at 7.30pm, Birch Hill Community Centre.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Also check out the new weekly deals.
