Weekly Deals

Do you have a look at the weekly deals when they come out?  There are 3-6  different products from the current catlogues every week at a discount rate.  They are not items which are discontinued or at the bottom of the bargain basket, but items that are full of potential and excitement.

For example, this week’s weekly deals include sequins.  Sequins are not just for your sparkly ball gown, but are excellent embellishment for cards.  Just one or two can make a card zing.  Shaker cards are not just for Christmas, by adding bright sequins into the centre of a flower or a heart they can make an excellent Summery card.

In this example (which has been entered for the CASE challenge at GDP#024), I stamped a butterfly in my lightest ink and glued sequins on to form a rainbow butterfly.  It does take patience and a pokey tool to lay the sequins down, however the result is a stunning, sparkly and interesting card.  Something to really shake off the winter blues.

If you email me your address and birthday, this card could be winging to you as part of the #imbringingbirthdaysback campaign.

So make sure you check out the weekly deals, they are always such a good deal to stock up on essentials and not-so-essential goodies!

Comments:

What a fabulous way to use sequins Fiona. Some lucky person will be getting some very sparkly happy mail on their birthday! Thanks for playing with us this week at Global Design Project.

Wow, Fiona! That's a lot of sequins - I can't imagine the patience it must have taken to fill this butterfly image. Love it! Thanks you so much for playing along with this week’s CASE the Designer Challenge at Global Design Project – I’m glad you did.
