Squares, Squares and more squares

This week I wanted to get specific with the retiring list and the new catalogue.  There are somethings which you will find really useful leaving the catalogue in a few week’s time, and they link up nicely with products that are coming.
One of these items is a set of layering square framelits. 8 dies for £16 measuring from 4 3/8” downwards.  In the new catalogue you have a set of 19 square dies in both straight edge and scalloped edges measuring from 3”2/8 downwards.

The new dies are small, smaller than the current ones –which is why both sets are useful and link well together.

‘But why do we need such small dies’ I hear you cry, there are many things you can do with small squares that would be difficult (but not impossible) to create with a trimmer.

This first card uses small squares to add colour to the picture, no matter how good your trimmer is, getting exact squares this small is difficult, at this scale the minutest of errors is very noticeable.  Therefor having small layering square dies takes the pressure off you, and helps you create stunning tableaus.

Secondly, you can create frames with layering framelits.  The new catalogue will have ovals, hearts and circles from which you can create frames.

These are just two ideas, and there are many more (shaker cards, windows, mat and layers ……).  Why don’t you leave a comment below and share what you would do with layering framelits.

The new catalogue launches on June 1st, I have a facebook launch party and an Open House that week.  Please email me on for further information or if you would like a catalogue.
