oops I should be doing something else!

Do you ever have those moments were you have gone to start crafting (or work of any sort) with a fixed Idea in your

head about what you want to do, but end up doing something completely different?
I do, I did. I was meant to be making two small tag albums ready for post-Christmas presents for grandparents.  I would build the album using scrap card and the tags form ‘Oh what Fun’ Tag set.  Here is one I did for my open day.

However I ended up making three chalk boards for my daughters instead.  On Friday I held my Shaker Card (to you and Yours) kit workshop, which was a lot of fun.  My guests (friends really) had left the cardboard insert which was used to keep all the paper from bending.  I was intending to use these for the albums, but the card was too thick and wasn’t the right size.

But I thought they would look sweet decorated in the Sweet L’il Things Designer Paper and some chalkboard paper I had purchased last year, but is now discontinued.  I had been planning to do something like this on their pinboards, but it was too big a project to find time to do.  So I did this instead, which can be hung on their pinboards.

I left them plain so that the girls could decorate their boards themselves.  Not sure about you, but I like my girls and I like glitter - however I very rarely let the two meet! But I did find a mess free way for the girls to add glitter to the boards without the house being sparkly for the next month or so.  We used glue dots.  The girls popped one on their finger and dipped it in to a pot of mixed glitter, and then carefully peeled it off and onto their board.

I think I probably had had enough Christmas Crafting, which is why this idea popped up instead.

Don't forget to have a look at the new weekly deals and remember that Birch Hill Craft Club is running this Thursday (22nd).

“It is a well-known established fact throughout the many-dimensional worlds of the multiverse that most really great discoveries are owed to one brief moment of inspiration …..This is thought of as somehow wonderful. It isn't. It is tragic. Little particles of inspiration sleet through the universe all the time traveling through the densest matter in the same way that a neutrino passes through a candyfloss haystack, and most of them miss.

Even worse, most of the ones that hit the exact cerebral target, hit the wrong one.”
