Mind Funk!

Thank you to everyone who came to the Open House on Friday and who participated on my Facebook Launch as well (You can find the link to all the posts and the live video here.)
I have been a bit behind, so I only got around to designing the projects for Friday night and the Eastern Palace Class on Sunday!  Here are a few sneaky peaks of what we are doing.  Many thanks to Lydia from Understand Blue for the inspiration for one of the cards, I thought it was such an original concept for the Eastern Palace stamps.

My plan was then to design the cards for my ‘Christmas in July Stamp ‘n’ Stack’ on the 22nd July.  However I had a complete mind funk!  Everything I tried just wouldn’t work – I am sure I am not the only one who has those moments.  So I stepped away.
The next day I used a retired card kit from Stampin’ Up (Watercolour Wishes) and just crafted for craft sake, and refreshed my mind funk.  Some of us may say we are past card kits and love the freedom and artistic imagination we can use with stamps, ink and paper, however it is nice to do something without trying too hard.  A way to relax the mind and spirit with something that has been designed, die-cut, colour matched for us.
Stampin’ Up has two complete card kits – Soft Sayings Kit (a beautiful pastel kit with a variety of greetings) and Oh Happy Day Card Kit (a much more vibrant and funky kit).  They include everything you need a part from glue/tape (they even have the dimensionals and stamp blocks) to make 20 cards.
If you would like to join any of this week’s classes, please email me.  Remember, Stampin' Up are offered an extra £30 in Stampin' Rewards when your order or party reaches £300 in orders, that is £66 worth of free stuff!  Book your party now!
