Egg Boxes

Who knew I could get so excited over egg boxes?  Well, they are special 'Stampin' Up' Egg boxes - have you seen them in the Spring/Summer Occasions Catalogue (p18) and you get 8 for £7.25.

These cartons hold 4 eggs, or Lindor sweets or lots of little red hearts - in fact anything that you may want to put into to egg cartons will go in.  Therefore they make lovely little gifts for a variety of events.  I have made mine into Valentine's gifts and Mothers’ Day gifts, and we can't ignore Easter - absolutely perfect for Easter gifts.

When I decorated some I decided not to change the colour of box, however they take ink brilliantly.  Fill a spritzer with you ink and medium, spritz gently over the boxes until you get the desired colour.  Make sure you leave them to dry thoroughly before attempting to move them or they may break.

I have simply used a belly band of cardstock and dies to decorate mine.  Here is the one I have made for Valentine's Day using real red cardstock and Sending Love stamp set.  I decorated the inside of the lid as well and re-used some packaging I had stored (never through anything away!).

The Second set I made was for Mothers' Day, using the Carried Away 12x12 DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue and the Stylish Stems dies.
There is so much you can do with these boxes and they are such a unique way of packaging your gifts up.  Think of new baby gifts or maybe just a sweet thank-you gift - either way your recipient will love the time and care you have taken to make it.

If you want more gift packaging ides, then join me for the Perfectly Wrapped Kit Saturday.  Confirmations need to be in by Friday 10th February.
