Definitely Dahlia

I mentioned last week that the next workshop would focus on large or background stamps.  This week I wanted to show some of things that could be done with just one of the stamps we would be using.  This highlights how versatile they are and why large stamps should be a MUST in your stamp collection.

This is an A6 card size, so the stamps fits brilliantly on smaller sized cards, in-fact you could go really tiddly and use just part of the stamp.  This card was inspired by the #GDP0028 CASE challenge.

I changed the design slightly so that it was more suitable for my Dad’s birthday in a few weeks, I also decoupage the stamp using three different ink colours to build up dimension and interest.  This large stamp, in-particular, lends itself to decoupage.

Lastly I created a large 8x8 card for special birthday for my Husband’s Aunt next week.  Again, it fits perfectly well as the main focal point on a large card, the layering adds interest and I just love the Pool Party Glitter Ribbon.  I’m not very good at random, but I tried to be a bit random with the basic rhinestones to add that extra little something to the card.

One stamp, three styles (even if they are similar in colour).  I hope you see how useful these stamps can be in your collection.

Email me on fispapercraft@hotmail.co.uk if you would like to try out one of these styles at my next workshop on the 8th April.  (Booking closes on 29th March).
