Creative Things

As I said last week in my blog, I have been very busy creating projects for the next few workshops.  Where do you get your inspiration from?  I get it from all sorts of places, including other demonstrators and other crafters via social media such as Facebook and Pinterest.  Pinterest is a great resources and I have several boards that show both my creations and others.  If you are ever stuck for an idea for particular stamp set, designer series paper (DSP) or embellishment – search on Pinterest.

Here is a sneaky peak of what we will be doing on the 23rd September, remember if you book three classes by the 16th September, you get a fourth (December 16th) class for FREE, places are running out!

I also get inspiration from the materials themselves, Stampin’ Up make the creation process smooth and fun because everything matches and co-ordinators from the inks to cardstock to DSP to embellishments to pens … and so on and so on.  I enjoy creating projects, whether they are ones to test my class attendees or simple ones so we can have a more relaxing time (because even the most experienced crafters like it a little easy sometimes!).

This month Stampin’ Up are offering 5 or 6 items each week at a special 25% discounted price, which will co-ordinate and finish off your projects.  The Confetti punch is brilliant for shaker cards, and at £12 it is an absolute steal!  But be quick, they will change the selection on the 15th September.  Check out the offers here.  While you are browsing, check out the clearance rack this has also been updated with seasonal offerings.

I have a busy schedule over the next month.  Birch Hill Craft Club is this Thursday (15th) at 7pm and my next class is on the 23rd.

On Saturday October 1st (12-4pm) I am raising funds for Birch Hill Primary School PTA (they will be replacing the old climbing frame with a new one and need £20,000 by the summer).  This also happens to World Card-Making Day - let me know whta your plans are!  For £5, you can make up-to 4 projects – which you can keep or donate to the school to sell.  No need to book, just pop in, I would love to see you.  Here are a two of the projects you could be making.

On 2nd October I will be at Berkshire Crafters Craft Fair at South Ascot Church Hall, come and say hello, and if you have never tried Stampin’ Up products before – you can here!

One last project - do you use planners?  here is a little trick for storing washi tape without keeping the roll with the planner.
