Bike Ride

This week I wanted to highlight the Bike Ride Stamp set and the Build a Bike Thinlits.  The bike ride set is very useful as it has no sentiments and can be used if you wish to send to a non-english speaking friend.

You use the stamps to build up the image of the bike, and therefore have to use the masking technique - where you diecut the bike frame from copier paper so you can stamp the wheels on without it locking the wheels.  With the masking technique you also stamp the image you want at the fore-front first and then the background layers after with the mask in place.

The bike ride stamp set also has a four images that require two step stamping, where you can use various layers of stamps and colours to build up the image.

The thinlits die cut the stamped images, but you also get a few extra dies - including a tiny butterfly and a small embossing plate which embosses cobbles onto your card for an authentic road look!  You can see how to use the stamp set from this video on you tube - Masking Technique

Here are a few samples:

My next two classes are next week:
Texture Paste Technique Class (£10)  (Friday 14th and Tuesday 18th).

and the Christmas in July Stamp 'n' Stack. (Sat 15th).  All bookings must be in by Friday 8th July.
