Art With Heart Occasions and Sale-a-Bration Blog Hop

Wednesday 25th January 2017

Welcome to the Occasions & Sale-a-bration! Art With Heart Blog Hop.

Today I’m excited to bring you a blog hop with some of the awesome ladies in the Art With Heart Stampart-with-heart-imagein’ Up! Team. You may be starting the blog with me, or you may have come from the very talented Alisha Watson.  Where ever you have started, make sure you continue hopping through so you see what the other talented ladies have created

Today we focus on the new Occasions Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Catalogue and also Sale-a-bration! If you place an order with me during Sale-a-bration, you can choose a free item with every $90 you spend in one transaction. There are lots of fabulous free items to choose from (ask me for a brochure and an Occasions Catalogue) and the promotion goes right through until 31st March.  Better still, become part of our awesome fun, friendly and supportive Art With Heart team. We have a really large team Australia wide that has been around since Stampin’ Up! came to Australia. We have a very active team forum and also have in person stamp days, challenges, card swaps, product shares and more. When you join with me during Sale-a-bration, you get 2 extra free stamp sets of your choice (of any value) plus $235 worth of product (whatever you choose). That's up to $414 of product for just $169. You also get free postage! It’s quick and easy to join online too. Ask me about joining today.

There are so many gorgeous items in the Occasions catalogue, that it was hard to choose what stamp set I wanted to concentrate on for the blog hop.  So I have a chosen a stamp set that I couldn’t initially see myself purchasing, but after I saw it demonstrated and all the gorgeous card samples, I fell in love! So today I bring you the ‘Lucky Elephant’.  I have named him Cooper, because every time I saved a photo I kept making a typing error and typed Cooper instead of Copper!! lol

When I stamped Cooper on the copper foil I didn’t get a clear print with the stamp first go, but I decided it made him old and life like, so decided to leave it. I have used the Moroccan Designer Series Paper to add some colour and feel that the two seem to fit really well together.  Then I embossed the sentiment in Copper Embossing powder and of course needed to add a little bling by using some rhinestones on his blanket.  Here's a closer look at Cooper.

Changing the theme completely I couldn't  go past  using the  Cupcakes and Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack for some fun and bright colours.  I love the circus feel to the DSP with the ferris wheel in the background and of course elephants and circus go together.  Right?    The Candy Dots worked perfectly with this card to add another element. Who doesn't like a few embellishments?

I jazzed up his blanket by adding a little colour with our Stampin’ Write markers.

Lastly I thought Cooper would make a cute baby card.   Cooper has become a little more feminine in this card!!    I wanted a  softer look for this card, so I removed his tusks.  Sorry Cooper.   I  stamped him twice to cut out an extra ear to give a little dimension and then of course added some Wink of Stella for a little sparkle.   I have incorporated a little piece of the Falling in Love DSP and used the Stitched Shapes framelits, which are back in stock and now ready to order.

LOL, Cooper is very versatile! I'm glad you used the mis-stamped image on the copper, as it looks fabulous.

Absolutely amazing cards and very clever use of the elephant stamp. Thank you for sharing your projects! I had no intention of getting this stamp but am definitely reconsidering after seeing your cards.
