World Cardmaking Day!

October 2nd was World Card Making Day!
Did you make any cards?
I got inspired from multiple sources

Michelle Zindorf -

Gretchen Barron - I pretty much cased this card from beginning to end, with the xception of colour which I used Elegant Eggplant, I also dropped the ribbon since I had none in the right colour scheme

Other Blogs - I've been collecting so many mental pictures lately I wouldn't even know where to begin guessing these styles came from

and inside

With many of the these cards I finally found myself inking up my brayer, I LOVE it, evenly inked stamps EVERY time and so many other wonderful benefits - eg the background hills on the owl scene.

Don't forget to email me about the watercolour class if you're interested!

Next month I'm considering a brayer class!

Just Add Ink Challenge 36

I keep hearing about these challenges from Just Add Ink and seeing some amazing creations.  Now that the school holidays are on, I have some more time to play, here's the sketch for inspiration

and here's my submission

and the inside

stamps- Circle circus & Occasional Quotes (level 3 hostess)
ink - Pumpkin Pie, craft white, Tempting Turquoise
paper - Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie
Punches - 1 3/4 circle, exra large scallop circle
Big Shot - Timeless Type Junior Alphabet
Ribbon - retired Pumpkin Pie striped grosgrain

This is a quick and easy card, and while I'd had a slightly different idea, I'm happy with the results, except for barely being able to see the stamping on the Pacific Point.  I had Tempting Turquoise out so I used it, and while you can see it, it is very faint!
