Cupcake Time!

I have been busily getting ready for my catalogue launch next week, but I have also been inspired by the Caseing the Catty website. I thought I would base one of my samples for the launch on a catalogue launch and kill two birds with one stone.
I chose the Sweet Cupcake set and cased the card on page

It's a bit hard to see in the photo, but the WISH is cut from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper, and gives the card a beautiful sparkle.
Here is a link the the Caseing the Catty website if you are interested,

Thanks

The 2016-2017 Catalogue is HERE!!

The wait is over, ordering has started for the new 2016-2017 Catalogue.
I have some samples to show you that feature stamp sets and accessories from the new catalogue.

Today also marks the beginning of a great hostess promotion too! When your party reaches sales of $450, as the hostess you will receive an extra $50 worth of Stampin' Rewards.

Here are a couple of projects I have made using the new Speciality DSP Affectionately Yours that will be the hostess gifts for the first two hostesses during this promotion.

The first gift is a covered notebook and matching pen. The NOTES heading has been highlighted by covering it with glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen, which gives it a shiny finish.

The second gift is a small bag which holds 4 note size cards. I had great fun playing with our new Copper Embossing Powder on this set. As we don't have Copper Foil paper, and neither Gold or Silver was suitable I made my own Copper Paper by applying Versamark directly to Whisper White paper and heat embossing a large area that I could cut the THANKS from.
I also used the Copper embossing powder to do the greeting on the Mint Macron card. For more information on this technique, contact me.
Here's a close up of the greeting and the bag,

Now for something really unusual (for me anyway), a scrapbook page!
I love scrapbooking, but it always seems to take a back seat to cardmaking, which I need to fix.
On this page I used Kraft as the base and a sheet from the Speciality DSP Affectionately Yours, as a highlight. Stamp sets used are Gorgeous Grunge, Layering Love and Friendly Wishes.

As the text says, although this photo is slightly out of focus, it still emphasises that cheeky grin!
And to demonstrate how far behind I am with my scrapbooking, this cheeky monkey turns 17 in a couple of months, oops!
The final items I have to show you are some cards made from my favourite sets from the Occasions Catalogue that are carrying over to the Annual Catalogue.

From left to right, Balloon Celebrations, Helping Me Grow and Balloon Builders.

That was a huge post, I hope you made it to the end.
I said that this was going to be a special post, and it's not just because of the New Catalogue starting today. It is also part of my application to be chosen to complete one of the display boards for Onstage Live in November, which is our biannual Stampin' Up! celebration. If i get chosen, I will receive some of the new products from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue to make samples from that will be displayed as inspiration for my fellow demonstrators. So wish me luck!

If you do not yet have a new catalogue and would like one, let me know and I will get one to you.
I have updated my Catalogue Launch and class dates on this so let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to attend.

Happy Stampin,
Rachel

New Stamps and Accessories

I love this time of year when the products from the upcoming 2016-17 catalogue arrive and inspiration flows.
Here are a couple of cards I have made with the Love and Affection Stamp set, firstly using the matching DSP and the new Copper embossing powder. The second card uses the same set but the new in colour Sweet Sugarplum and the new Duet Banner punch and Thoughtful Banners stamp set.

The next set of cards uses on of the new Hostess sets called Love You Lots, and I do love it lots! These images were really fun to water colour.

I will be back soon with some very special projects,

Rachel

Day 17

This little fells was made possible by my lovely team member Vickie. At our recent team day we had the opportunity to mingle and use some stamp sets that we don't own yourselves (yet!). This guy was made using the Playful Pals Stamp set and Thinlits Bundle. All you need to create an endless number of animal friends is contained in these sets. It's actually a box that you can open and put goodies inside.

One week to go,
See you tomorrow,
Rachel

Day 15

This card uses the In The Meadow set from the new Occasions Catalogue. I hand coloured the stamp using my Stampin' Write Markers and stamped the trees in Perfect Plum on the background.

Day 5

No new goodies arrived today, but I made sure that my desk was ready for action as soon as it arrives.

My stamping creation for today is the pile of tags I made from the Perfect Pines set for my own use and also as gifts for teachers etc.

Busy day tomorrow with my last class for this year, but I'll be back at some stage,

Happy Stampin,
Rachel

Art With Heart Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop

Today some of the Art with Heart Stampin' Up! team girls are sharing some fun and fabulous ideas to inspire you from our brand new Holiday Catalogue available now until 4th January 2016.

The stamp set I have chosen is called Christmas Cuties, and rightly so. These guys are so cute!

The first set of cards uses the angel image,

Watercolouring these images is so much fun. The background paper on the middle card has been made using the Flurry of Wishes set. The two smallest snowflakes were stamped in Versamark, then heat embossed using a mixture of half Dazzling Diamonds and half Gold embossing powder. The result is  beautifully sparkly gold snowflakes!

The other two main images in this set are the Elf and the bundled up chlid (not sure if it's a boy or girl!)

The image on the bundled up card has been stamped in white embossing powder, coloured with a Blender pen and White Craft Ink annd then coloured with inks.

The final project I have for you is my annual Christmas Sampler, using my favourite sets from this year's Holiday Catalogue.

Art with Heart Father's Day Blog Hop

Today some of the Art with Heart Stampin' Up! team girls are presenting some fabulous Father's Day ideas to inspire you. We also have our brand new 2015 Holiday Catalogue available from 1 September, with some amazing Christmas inspiration for you. Be sure to request a catalogue today!

My project focuses on the new Brick embossing folder available in the Annual Catalogue.

First I embossed Tip Top Taupe with the Brick embossing folder. I added the following colours to individual bricks using a sponge dauber, Early Espresso, Tip Top Taupe and Whisper White.

The banner was cut from Lost Lagoon CS using the Banner Framelits, and the DAD was then cut using the Alphabet Thinlits.

The sentiment is from Friendly Wishes and was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

A couple of laps around the top of the banner with Linen Tread and attach with dimensionals and the card was done.

I was so pleased with the results I even put a bit of effort into the inside of the card.

I embossed a small section of the Whisper White CS with the Brick embossing folder and applied the same colours as the front of the card. The sentiment is also from the Friendly Wishes set.

Thanks for hopping by, I hope i've inspired you to stamp up a storm for your Dad this Father's Day, the next stop in the Blog Hop is Ros Davidson
