My Last Hoorah!

I have decided to close down my website and blog - so this is goodbye from here!  I am staying a demonstrator, just "de-technologying" a bit .

So, I say Goodbye with a Valentine's Book (CASEd from another Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Julie Leeper):

I made this for my DD, and like all the Valentine's for my family, it had to be special .

Thanks for joining me on this journey - I reckon, we'll meet again!

I'm still stamping sunshine,
Sherylee.

Sale-a-bration Flower.

Some of you may remember my Sale-a-bration blog hop flower decoration - check it out again here.

Well, I crafted it to be a pretty decoration for the pen holder, or a bookmark for my diary, or even a headband if I wanted (and I might  ! ):

Lookie at it here:

And here:

And you'll just have to imagine it in my hair LOL.

It was easy to craft of course - I used Stampin' Up!s lovely Multi Purpose adhesive sheets to attach the Everyday Enchantment designer paper to some cardstock, and then the adhesive sheet to attach Stampin' Up!s Window Sheet on top (so it is nice and sturdy and protected).  Then I ran the square through Black Betty (my BigShot) and cut the Fun Flower.  Then it was a quick pierce with the Piercing Tool to create a hole to insert the brad that was already threaded through the flower button (Brights collection).

To create the band, I just stitched some gorgeous Very Vanilla Satin ribbon to elastic, then hot glued the flower on so it was all pretty and ready to go.  I'm clever aren't I?

And modest of course!

Sherylee.

Pretty Birthday Castle!

Ok, so yesterday I looked at my Birthday Calendar for Feb - and yep, you guessed it, I missed one birthday already and another is today, then tomorrow, then the 11th and 18th!!

Oh, well, I was having my afternoon cuppa and got my Idea Book and Catalogue out to help me decide on card designs (*the* Idea Book!) - so I made 4 birthday cards, and they are already in the post today!!  Yay me!!

Here's the first:

Totally inspired by Lisa Young, a SU! demo in the US - I loved her version and I changed it to use my punches and make it just a much simpler, one layer - still so pretty though I think!  I love it and I hope our great-neice will too - she turned 2 years old!

Supplies used:
Cardstock - Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi, Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade
Designer Paper - Just add cake (so appropriate for birthdays, eh?)
Punches - Pennant, Square, Decorative Label, Itty Bitty, Eyelet Border
Bigshot and Timeless Type Junior Alphabet
Accessories - Stampin' Up! Self-adhesive rhinestones, Poppy Parade Stampin' Write Marker

I'm stamping sunshine - and I'll be back to show you more cards and scrapbooking soon - I've been busy !!

A really, very special birthday balloon.

The tween celebrated his birthday while we were away - 12 years old now but still my little boy .

I loved crafting him this card (before we went so it was ready - yes, had to pack it carefully).  He liked it too  !

Inspired by *the* Idea Book, page 32.

Isn't it bright and fun?  Just like my boy!

Stamps - Up, Up & Away
Inks -Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Chocolate Chip
Designer Paper - BigTop Birthday

We had a great day celebrating - breakfasts at HJ's, then a trip to Denmark to visit the Meadery for Honey Icecream!  Yum!!  Then a walk (swim for little ones) at Torbay, and dinner with family and the all important cake - Freddo Icecream as chosen by the birthday boy!

Mmm, icecream sounds good doesn't it - almost as good as more stamping!

Saving the world from Ugly!!

Yay, today is one of the best days of the year - it is Sale-a-bration!!!  And this year's Sale-a-bration freebies has the prettiest designer paper ever!!  So yay - we can save the world from ugly together  !!

Our lovely ESAD demonstrators' group decided it would be fun to celebrate Sale-a-bration with a blog hop - so you may have come here from Kathryn's blog, sit back and enjoy as today, I decided to combine upcycling with saving the world from ugly  !!

The gorgeous designer paper, Everyday Enchantment, certainly is that and if you are wanting to use it to save the world from ugly, you can only get it as a Sale-a-bration freebie so call your demonstrator right after you have hoppped through these blogs!!

This desk set has a covered diary, pen holder, pen with lovely paper insert and a pretty card to give too.

Now to make your desk set, start with a diary just begging to be covered:

Measure it up for the designer paper cover and adhere it using Tombow liquid glue (Tip - it's a great glue to give you a bit of time to move things around to line up properly):

Then add the final embellishments to really save the world from ugly!  I stamped the label from You are Loved in Poppy Parade ink; coloured the centre of that stamp with the wonderful Stampin' Write markers and punched it with the oval; added a heart from Tiny Tags; a couple of layers of punches (Lace Ribbon and Dotted Scallop Ribbon); and the year date diecut from Peach Parfait cardstock using Timeless Type Junior Alphabet dies in Black Betty (my BigShot) (Tip - use Tombow liquid adhesive to adhere Square Lattice embossed cardstock too - it goes in all the little grooves and sticks nicely):

Ah, SAVED from ugly!!!

Now, look back at the first photo - the flower decorating the pen holder can do triple duty as a head-band and a bookmark - come back tomorrow to see a bit more about that .

Before you save the world from ugly yourself, you will need to know, "What is ESAD?".  It is our wonderful "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators", an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin' Up! demonstrators. We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed. So if you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand, then please feel free to click here to join our group - it's the bestest for saving the world from UGLY!!

You will be finding more pretties on Juliette's lovely blog - go on and conquer ugly!!!

Stamping sunshine,
Sherylee.

I'm baaaack!

I'm here!!

I did it!!!  I got inky last night  !!!

And I did pretty good too I reckon - inspired by Linda's Works of Heart blog:

Yes, another labour of love - and rightly so, as I crafted it to post to my DD.  We sure are missing her  .

Guess what though?  For the first time *ever*, I decorated the inside of this card too:

Supplies used for this one if you are needing to craft a labour of love too:
Cardstock - Confetti White, Whisper White, Blushing Bride
Stamps - You are Loved (Summer Mini), WordPlay, Notably Ornate
Ink - Blushing Bride, Tea Stain, Mahogany(both from Distressing Essentials kit), Regal Rose, Calypso Coral
Designer Paper - Beau Chateau
Punches - Scallop Trim border, Lace Ribbon border, Decorative Label
BigShot - Top Note, Finial Press embossing folder
Accesssories - Crochet mini doiley (from a thrift shop on my travels), Very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon (sponged with Blushing Bride and Regal Rose inks), Sponge, Stampin' Write Markers (Regal Rose and Pear Pizzazz), Stampin' Up! Pearls, Sewing machine
Adhesives - SNAIL, Sticky Strip, Tombow, Stampin' Dimensionals

And, I've been good too and edited some more photos of the tiny bit of crafting I did on our holiday - I was so super organised with scrapbook pages ready to go, taking just the right supplies I needed, and I only crafted once!  But it's not such a bad thing as the holiday was a lovely time to spend with our kids.

Hope your day is one of loving thoughts too.

I'm stamping sunshine,
Sherylee.

I'm not quite here yet...

After a month away, an adventure to get home and kids starting school today, I am not quite back into the swing of things just yet.

I bet a few of you are in the same boat!

We'll get there!

Stamping soon,
Sherylee.
