Just Add Summer

Hi there and Happy New Year!!
I stayed home last night - a bit sad hey?  But at least I'm feeling bright and chipper today!!  I'm pretty sure I would not have felt like doing a challenge card if I had gone out.  The latest challenge over at Just Add Ink is to Just Add Summer.  I could not go past the set from the mini called Tropical Party - they don't come much more summery than this set - coconut, palm tree, tropical flowers - it's really gorgeous and it has co-ordinationg DSP as well.  Once I decided on the set to use I headed over to the Clean and Simple website for some help with the sketch, got that and then drew my colours from the DSP - all happened very smoothly.  I just wanted to jazz it up ever so slightly so added an Itty Bitty Button and punched flower to the greeting.  I'm pretty happy with it and it certainly fits the bill for summer.

Stamps:  Tropical Party, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Paper:  Rose Red, So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Island Oasis DSP
Ink:  Early Espresso, So Saffron, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise
Accessories:  Scallop Edge Punch,  2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Word Window Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch, Itty Bitty Button, Blender Pen

Thanks for checking out my creation.

Love it! Certainly very summery!

That drink with the little umbrella out the top is definitely summer! Gorgeous card Sue.

Great job of combining the dp and the stamp. They coordinate so well and worked perfectly for the sketch.
