Just Add Ink Challenge 44

Hi there, I hope you are having a relaxing Sunday afternoon.  I have just popped in quickly to upload my card for the latest Just Add Ink Challenge.  I love to do challenges but just don't get the time to always participate.  I always think, I'll get my latest project done, and then things will slow down but it never happens!  Anyway, this week it is a colour challenge and when I saw the colours I was not excited. I thought - Christmas card? - nah, has to be a male card, but then I went back to my original idea of a Christmas card and I have to say I am impressed with the result.  That is the beauty of the challenges, they push you out of your comfort zone and make you create something that you weren't expecting :)  That is one seriously large bow on there, but I love it and think it really suits because the rest of the card is so clean and simple.  Once I decided what I was going to do, it took about 60 seconds to make , I kid you not.  Tying the bow however, took a little longer, because I fiddled around with it so much.  I have used retired ribbon from 2 years ago because there is no current Chocolate Chip Ribbon but if you wanted to replicate this card you could easily substitute with Early Espresso Ribbon.
Don't forget to pop over to the
Just Add Ink website and check out the other entries or even put one in yourself.

Stamps:  Medallion, Dasher, Contempo Christmas
Paper:  River Rock
Ink:  Versamark, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip
Accessories:  Corner Rounder Punch, Basic Pearls, 15/16" Chocolate Chip Satin (retired)

Thanks for dropping by and taking a look.
Sue :)

Now this, I LOVE!! Definitely have to case this one, Sue, if you don't mind :) I love how simple it is, yet it is elegant (and beautiful use of those colours!). Terrible grammar, but I'm sure you know what I mean!

I would never have thought to put the medallion and Dasher together but they just look fantastic. Job well done Sue. I just love how your projects are simple yet elegant and classy. Just what I love!!!

Love your card Sue. Dasher looks so gorgeous over the top of medallion. I have them both and had never thought to do it. Love the pearls you added also. Kathy
