Mother's Day Class

Here's what I'm offering for Mother's Day this year  It's a coordinated gift set featuring the Hostess stamp set, Simply Soft.  We will be making a 13cm square greeting card, four 10cm square cards with matching envelopes and a custom made box to house them in.  It would make a lovely gift for any occasion, not just Mother's Day and we will be customising the sentiments to suit so it could just as easily be a birthday or thank you gift.  There will be three different colour schemes/flowers to choose from, take a look at the photos below and email me with your preference if you would like to book in.

If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Watercolouring

Most of you know my watecolouring technique leaves much to be deisired, so I don't do a lot of it, but in this case I am happy to share a card with you because I'm quite proud of my effort.  What a difference Watercolour paper makes!   I often "try" to watercolour on plain cardstock and it ends up looking like a 2 year old did it.  I don't know why I keep putting myself through it, maybe it's because I see other people do it, so I know it can be done - just not by me!  For this, I used my Aqua Painter which gives a beautiful blended finish I totally love.  I combined it with the new DSP, Twitterpated, the new Adorning Accents Edglits, the divine Pleated ribbon and a cute Twitterpated button to top it off.  I like this one so much, I'm entering it into the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge which is, you guessed it, watercolouring!

Stamps:  Bordering on Romance, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Paper:  Pear Pizzazz, Island Indigo, Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red, Twitterpated DSP, Watercolour Paper
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon, Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red
Accessories:  Big Shot, Adorning Accents Edglits, Labels Collcetion Framelits, Pear Pizzazz Pleated Ribbon, Twitterpated Button, White Bakers Twine, Aqua Painter

Brie-Anne's Birthday Card

I needed to make a card for my daughter's best friend's 12th birthday and I needed to use Grunge Rock because that's her favourite stamp set.  Last time she was over, I quizzed her on what colours she was into at the moment and she told me lime green and dark purple, so that was my starting point..... Knowing the colours and stamp set, I set out for a sketch that would fit and found the perfect one at Stamping 411.   I needed a third colour so I added Melon Mambo (even though she did not mention pink) but I thought it looked sensational with Concord Crush and Lucky Limeade. I am making an effort lately to "use" more of my accessories instead of "saving" them, so I added the Glimmer Brad which gave the perfect touch of femininity to this card.  I hope you like it!

Stamps:  Grunge Rock, Extreme Elements
Paper:  Concord Cush, Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, In Color 2010-2012 Patterns Stack DSP
Ink:  Concord Crush, Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo
Accessories:  Brights Glimmer Brad, Designer Label Punch, Cutter Kit, Sponge
