Your Birthday's in the Bag!

Back again just quickly to upload my card for the Clean and Simple FTL 124 layout  ....

and the Colour Q #68 Challenge ....
and my card.... I would never have put these colours together in a million years, but they are actually quite nice and the card is cute.  This is why I have to do Colour Challenges otherwise I would keep using the same colours over and over.  The Always Artichoke is on there, it's the spots on the little bag and paper sticking from the top of the bag. I stamped the little gift bag from Birthday Bakery onto Whisper White and then trimmed it out, there's no way I was going to cut around the inside of the bag handles, so I snipped them off and added a piece of White Crochet Cotton instead, easier and cuter that way :)

Stamps:  Birthday Bakery
Paper:  Cherry Cobbler. So Saffron, Whisper White
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon, Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Poppy Parade
Accessories: Big Shot, Impressions Polka Dot Folder, Pinking Hearts Border Punch,  1 3/4" Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Poppy Parade Twill Ribbon, Blender Pen
Non SU:  White Crochet Cotton

Thanks for taking a look,
Sue

There is no day for "just a sliver"

I love this saying - it's so true and I love this set, it's called Birthday Bakery and it's a Level 1 Hostess Set.  I've done this card using a colour challenge from Inkspirations , these are so my colours and I thought the Blushing Bride and Early Espresso  would perfect for the cakes, as in chocolate and strawberry - yum.  I watercoloured the cakes with a  blender pen and something accidental happened which turned out to be really great.  Last time I used my blender pen, I was experimenting with Shimmer Paint and there must have been some still left on the pen, so it has mixed in with the ink and made the icing look all shimmery - I think it looks excellent. I have taken a close up below so you can see what I'm talking about , unfortunately you can also see my bad colouring, I didn't stay inside the lines very well not sure how I graduated from Kindy :)

I took this sketch challenge from Sketch Frenzy Friday and flipped it to a landscape orientation.

And this is my card - I'm starting to feel hungry!
