Sweet Pea Card

It's been awhile since I made a baby card and I recently got this set so I wanted an excuse to use it.  The set is aptly named So Cute and is on page 57.  You might find this hard to believe,  but I had not noticed it until a couple of weeks ago, I know what you're thinking, I too thought I knew the catalogue inside out :)  I was browsing through looking for something I could use for Easter and that's when the little bunny caught my eye.

If you think this layout looks familiar, that's because it's the sketch from Clean and Simple
FTL #123  that I used to make my flower card, from yesterday. I thought it was a really easy sketch, so I used it again.  The colour scheme came from the Color Throwdown #125  : Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake.  I adore these colours together and they suit a baby card so well. I am also linking it to another challenge blog I came across, called SUO and their challenge this week was to make a baby card.

You can see in this photo that I added some Crystal Effects to the little Pea Pod.

Thanks for taking a look, have a great day,

Covering Books, sigh!

This is one job that I do not look forward to doing every year.  I started a few weeks ago and have been working my way through the pile.  The thing that has made it a bit more bearable this year was my girls wanting to turn the books into their own little works of art - so of course I had to help.  I've taken a few photos because I thought you might like to see what we did.  We used loads of punches and die cuts and halfway through I remembered I still had some of the Die Cut Blooms from the last catalogue, so we got those out too.  I think they look pretty good and most importantly the girls do too.  My favourite is the first one of the flower and butterflies, or maybe it's the owl or the Hearts and Brackets  - can't decide, they're all too cute.
