Just Add Ink Challenge 44

Hi there, I hope you are having a relaxing Sunday afternoon.  I have just popped in quickly to upload my card for the latest Just Add Ink Challenge.  I love to do challenges but just don't get the time to always participate.  I always think, I'll get my latest project done, and then things will slow down but it never happens!  Anyway, this week it is a colour challenge and when I saw the colours I was not excited. I thought - Christmas card? - nah, has to be a male card, but then I went back to my original idea of a Christmas card and I have to say I am impressed with the result.  That is the beauty of the challenges, they push you out of your comfort zone and make you create something that you weren't expecting :)  That is one seriously large bow on there, but I love it and think it really suits because the rest of the card is so clean and simple.  Once I decided what I was going to do, it took about 60 seconds to make , I kid you not.  Tying the bow however, took a little longer, because I fiddled around with it so much.  I have used retired ribbon from 2 years ago because there is no current Chocolate Chip Ribbon but if you wanted to replicate this card you could easily substitute with Early Espresso Ribbon.
Don't forget to pop over to the
Just Add Ink website and check out the other entries or even put one in yourself.

For You Flower Cards

Aren't these happy little cards, don't they make you just want to smile?  I consulted the Colour Coach for the first one and realised when I had finished that I had made a mistake and used Daffodil Delight instead of So Saffron, but I still like it.  The second one was also a colour combo from the Colour Coach and I think I like it a little bit better.  My favourite part of these cards is the punch, no cutting out the flower!!
