Matchbook Treat Holder
I made these cute little treat holders and gave them out at the scrapbook fundraiser on Saturday. I put my business card inside with my new blog address on them so that the guests could find my blog easier. I promised some of the gals that I would post directions on how to make these cute little treat holders that would be great for any holdiay, shower, graduation or just because. First I cut a piece of Melon Mambo card stock 7 3/8" x 2 3/4" and scored at 3", 3 1/2" and 6 3/4". To decorate the front I cut a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock 2 1/4" x 2 1/4". You can stamp and decorate as desired. For the inside pocket, I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock
5 7/8" x 2 3/8" and scored at 2 1/4",, 2 1/2", 2 3/4" 5",
5 1/4" and 5 1/2".
Fold all the score lines having the middle score of the 3 go in and the outside 2 scorelines fold out-accordion style. Stamp or wheel design as desired before putting together. Attach ends with a length of sticky strip and this forms a pocket.
Fold bottom flap of matchbook out and place pocket almost up to scoreline of flap. Poke a hole on each end of pocket, close to bottom and through matchbook flap. Insert brads from the front-through matchbook flap and through pocket. Open legs of brads on back of pocket as shown to the right.
The pocket is just perfectly sized to hold a peppermint patty, but you may find something else that will fit. Fold matchbook front over pocket and insert into bottom flap. Makes a very cute favor for a special occasion or holiday.
Thanks for visiting today. I hope that I have inspired you to get our your stamps and inks and create something fantastic!
