November 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop - Birthdays

Welcome to another Kre8tors Blog Hop.  This month's theme is birthdays!  Birthday cards are a year round need, so hop along with us to gather many creative ideas.  My card features a gift card on the inside.  Check it out!

Here are the details of my card:
  • Petal Pink Cardstock (4-1/4" X 11", scored at 2" from one end and 3-1/2" from the other end) and (7" X 3-1/2", scored at 1/2" from one end and 2" from the other end)  Here's a look at the 7" piece of cardstock.  Fold the 1/2" end down, and the 2" end up.
  • Secure the 7" piece of cardstock inside the card by putting a strip of adhesive along the 1/2" end.  Lay this end on the inside of the card at the top fold, facing up.
  • Fold the top flap down onto the 7" cardstock.  Press down.
  • Open the card.

  • Decorate and stamp the card.  The sentiments are stamped with Smoky Slate Ink from the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set.
  • Emboss a piece of Whisper White (4" X 3-1/4" with the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Attach to the top.  Cut out the front sentiment with the Stitched Labels Framelits.  Attach a piece of Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (4" X 1-3/4") to the bottom flap.
  • Fold up the bottom flap, making sure that the folded 7" cardstock is under the flap on the inside.  Tie a piece of 3/8" Silver Metallic-edge Ribbon around the bottom flap to secure the bottom of the card.

Here's one more look at the closed card.

Such a lovely, feminine card - any lady would be delighted to receive this. Petal Promenade is my favorite and the tufted embossing folder looks super with it - you did great on combining all these elements!

I love how this card opens! It has a very fun fold element. I need to make one so that I can see how it all works! Your card is gorgeous! I absolutely adore the tufted folder, and must add it to my collection soon! Thank you so much for sharing and hopping with us!

Oh I love this peekaboo effect when the card is opened. It makes a simple giftcard or some money into a beautiful gift!
