Truly Grateful (PCCCS#117 - PPA#226 - SUO#109)

Edited: WooHoo not only my card below has been voted in the Top 3, but so did my other entry!!! WOW. Thank you so much if you voted for me. It really means a lot. You can see the other card right here

One card, two days in a row, three challenges!  WooHoo 1, 2, 3

I want to submit this card for 3 challenges. I have used the sketch from PCCCS-117, the colors of The Pals Paper Arts color challenge PPA-226 and finally over at the SUO challenges #109, they wanted to see a card with a thankful sentiment!

     and "Thanks"

For my card base I used a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock and I matted it with a smaller piece of Naturals Ivory cardstock. For the focal point, I punched a 2 3/8” scallop circle from a piece of Cajun Craze polka dots and I then sandwiched that circle in between Mossy Meadow and Naturals Ivory circles die cut with the starbust framelits. On the top circle I stamped a couple of acorns from the Truly Grateful set and I added a banner with a sentiment from the Lots of Thanks set. The beautiful Mossy Meadow satin ribbon and a ‘vintage’ Cajun Craze flower brad are just under the Soft Suede that goes across the card. Three small candy dots complete the embellishments.

I hope you like today's card; do pop by the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch, the Pals Paper Arts and the SUO challenges galleries to see some great cards as always.

What a lovely card, Louise. I love the way you've used those colours and repeated the patterns. Very effective.

Such a beautiful card Louise! I too love the way you've layered the colours and patterns - such balance and continuity. And of course that beautiful ribbon. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Craft Crew again this week :-)

Jan thank you so much for visiting and for your very nice comment. I really appreciate it. It was a fun sketch to play with. As a matter of fact, I have started another card, different colors, with the same sketch; hopefully I will have time to finish it before the deadline. LOL

I agree, it's the layers that drew my attention too! The stamped images are perfect on the circle and along with that lovely bow it was a great way to combine these challenges. Thanks for joining us at the Pals Paper Arts this week!

Thank you Dawn for your comment. I am usually "bow-challenged" but this one turned out OK.... with the help of a few strategically place glue dots! I really enjoyed playing with this color combo.
