Eclipse Technique or Camouflage Die Cut stamping

I am not sure what the exact name for this technique should be but I know I absolutely love the resuts!

A lady that comes to my classes had shown us a picture of a card made by Susan Campfield (you can see her post right HERE) using the cat punch in a very different way. So after the class I researched the post and after reading her description, I could not wait to try this "Two-Tier Eclipse Technique" with an image other than letters or numbers.

So last night I made one with Pumpkin Pie and Black and posted it on Facebook (you can go and have a look right HERE) and it seems a lot of people loved it! So today I decided to make another version, one for Christmas, even though it's hard to think about winter in this 85F/31C temperature we are experiencing in South Western Ontario..... it's HOT and HUMID..... but who's complaining, not me! (except for the humidity that is...LOL)

and a sideview and a little bit more close-up.

This is such a fun technique and relatively easy too. You can research on Pinterest by typing either Eclipse or Camouflage and you will come up with lots of examples.

Here's my Pumpkin Pie version:

What do you think? Is this a technique you will want to try? I am thinking now it will probably be a card we will be making in class!
