Masculine card with a Fun & Fancy Fold and Nailed It!

Fancy Fold:  Z-Fold Flap Card
I made this card for our Jammin'Stampers Monthly Community Challenge (it might, just might,  make its way to an upcoming class....what do you think ladies?)

The front flap tucks underneath the wrench, ruler and sentiment to help keep it closed. You could also use the thin velcro closures:

To make this card that I had seen several examples on Pinterest, I followed this "How to" video from Dawn Griffith:

Here is a view from the top of the card so you can see a little bit better how it opens up:
And another photo to show the card when fully open

Heavy rain today in Cambridge (Ontario, Canada) so this is the perfect day for some stamping and crafting!

Happy stamping!

Dragonfly Dreams in Mint Macaron

I created this card last week for a class. It is monochromatic and very CAS. I used the soon-to-be-retired Mint Macaron: cardstock, ink pad, envelope paper. I wanted to show my ladies a different option so for the inside I used another soon-to-be-retired ink, Tip Top Taupe. I hope these colors will eventually come back, sooner than later. There are favorites of mine.

Here's my card and the inside, which to keep it really monochromatic, could have been stamped with Mint Macaron.

Here are some of the details and products used:
Card Base:           Mint Macaron 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored at 4 1/4” – Optional: 2 rounded corners
1st Layer:             Whisper White 4 x 5 ¼” – Optional: 2 rounded corners
2nd Layer:             In Color 2015-2017 Envelope Paper - cut ~ 3 ¾” x 3 ¾” x 5 ¼” triangle
Other:                  Scrap ~ 3” x 3 ½” of Mint Macaron cardstock to die cut dragonfly
Inside:                  Whisper White 4 x 5 ¼” – Optional: 2 rounded corners

Don't forget to go and visit their blog right hereto see all their wonderful project and all the great entries so far.  I may even enter another of my card that has a cute "critter" on it too.

Happy stampin' and looking forward to reading what you think of my little dragonfly!
