With Sympathy - PPA 213

Updated July 31st:   WOW! Thank you Team 2

Nicole Watt, Design Team Artist for Pals Paper Arts, has a wonderful sketch this week.

My card follows the sketch pretty closely. I started with a base of Mossy Meadow. Then I created a background on Naturals Ivory by ligthly stamping one of the flowers in the Hostess set, Bloom with Hope. This is a wonderful set that you can earn my hosting a workshop or placing an order over $200 - this set has 11 stamps!!! To add a little dimension I paper pierced the left bottom corner using the Essentials template.  The leaves in the middle square are from the Kinda of Eclectic set, stamped off first so that the sentiment can be easily read on top of it. A bitty butterfly, some pearls complete the card.

Overall I am pretty happy with how the card turned out. What do you think? I would love to read YOUR comments and suggestions.

Freshly Made Sketches #145 - A Sketch by Narelle and Fab Friday 46

One card for two challenges - In this Together!

I was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches - provided by Narelle Farrugia amd I also wanted to use the colors from the challenge at FAB Friday - very summery. And above is the card I came up with. I had a lot of fun coloring with the new Blendabilities!! I also used the marker for the umbrella since I did not have the Strawberry Slush....

PPA210 - A Color Challenge

Snapshot   for   PPA210 - A Color Challenge

After I created this card for an upcoming team meeting swap I realized the colors of the PPA Color Challenge 210 were the ones I actually used. Here's the banner for the challenge:

and for my card,

you can see the base is made of a piece of Lost Lagoon, and on the DSP there is both Basic Gray and Pool Party on the cameras.

The card is a Z-fold and on the inside panel made of a piece of Hello Honey, I cut a piece of Basic Gray with the On Film framelit and stamped the sentiment in Lost Lagoon. Here's the inside panel:

and this is actually 2 of the cards showing the front and inside panels

So Very Happy for Color Me...! # 27 Monochromatic

CMCC#27 - Colour Me... Monochromatic!

This week for challenge #27 at Color Me...! we are going Monochromatic and using Blackberry Bliss.

I had seen a tutorial by Julie Davison for a Pull out “Fun Fold” Card on Julie's Stamping Spot and wanted to try making one of those fun card myself!

On the front panel I used the flower stamp from the So Very Happy set to create a background. I then stamped and punched the sentiment from the same set,  added a few pieces of DSP from the Moonlight paper stack to complete the card, which is mounted on a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Blackberry Bliss cardstock. (I you go visit Julie Davison's blog you can see the card in action in her very complete video.)

Hope you like my card and if you want to see all the other cards entered for this challenge, go to Colour Me...! You will also be able to see all the great inspiration from the DT.
