Wedding Invitations

Well, I have another wedding coming up in my family, and I offered to do the wedding invitations for my brother-in-law and his soon to be wife.  Their colors are hot pink and black for the wedding, and she liked butterflies, so I tried to deliver.  She's already chosen which one she wants, but took it home with her to let her mom get a peek.  Soon, I'll have to get busy on making more official copies - but I thought I'd share my "rejects" with you first.  (These are the only "complete" cards I made for her - I had several other cut-outs and add ons I showed her I could do.  Maybe one day I'll get around to posting all of those copies!)

This first one was actually my favorite.  I got to use a whole bunch of Stampin' Up stamps, and stamped on vellum for the very first time!  Of course, I tested to see if it was dry (it wasn't!) and smudged it right off the bat.  Still turned out pretty though, if I do say so myself.  :)

The scan makes the writing behind the vellum look a lot more drab than it really is.  My aunt told me I should try printing on the vellum, and stamping in the background next time.  I'll have to try that!
