Ink - Strawberry Slush, Sahara Sand
Cardstock - Strawberry Slush, Whisper White

This card was inspired by the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge # 248.  I love having a starting point when I design a card and this week the sketch was it.  Other times my starting point is a stamp set I want to use, a color combination, or a technique that I want to incorporate into my project.

Have you heard of "Heat and Stick Powder"?  Use it to adhere glitter to your card or project.

6 Easy Steps for Using "Heat and Stick" Powder

  • Step 1 - Stamp image with VersaMark or Craft Ink and pour a generous amount of Heat and Stick Powder over the image
  • Step 2 - Shake off excess powder onto a clean sheet of paper and funnel it back into the container
  • Step 3 - Use the Heat Tool to heat the stamped image just until the powder changes to a shiny liquid (be careful not to heat too much or it will start to lose it's stickiness)
  • Step 4 - Quickly pour the glitter over the sticky fusing powder
  • Step 5 - Funnel the excess glitter back into the container
  • Step 6 - Heat it again just for a moment to set the glitter
  • ENJOY your creation!

Love your use of the background stamp with the bird image, Deb! Strawberry Slush is one of my favorite colors and you did it up right here! Thanks for playing along at the PPA this week!
