Earth Day April Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for April. To celebrate Earth Day this month, we are showcasing projects that feature recycled, re-purposed, or earthy/recycling themed elements.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from  Sue Becker at RnR Stamping, stop #1

on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

Do you save things with intentions of creating a project and then just put it away for a while?  I have been saving this 6 pack of bottles just waiting for the right time to complete a project.  My daughter-in-law inspired me to make this 2 years ago - it's a 6 pack of treats which will be going to my niece later this month.

My husband sprayed the 6 pack white for me.  Isn't he a great guy?

I covered the 6 pack carrier with Designer Series Paper from the Birthday Basics collection.  The bottles were covered with different papers from the same collection and coordinating buttons adhered to the necks of the bottles.

I actually colored in the letters on the tag after the initial photos were taken.  You can see a close up in the photo below.  Do you ever change parts of your project after you look at it for a while and decide it needs something else?

The bottles are filled with M&M's, pretzel sticks, raisins, peanuts, granola, and jelly beans.

I used the 1" Circle Punch to cover the tops of the bottles with coordinating cardstock.

Below you can see a close up of the coodinating birthday card.

Stamp Set - Chalk Talk
Ink - Bermuda Bay, Gumball Green
Cardstock - Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Crisp Canteloupe, Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Birthday Basics DSP
Accessories - Brights Candy Dots and Brad Bases, Apothecary Accents and Chalk Talk Framelits, Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon, 1" Circle Punch, Alphabet Press Embossing Folder, Buttons, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots
