"So Very Happy" for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for May where we are preparing for the retirement of some Stampin' Up! products.  Though it may be goodbye to some very loved supplies, it will make room for the much anticipated new catalog products.  We hope you enjoy the Pals' creative projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from, Susan Itell at Simple Stampin, stop number 20 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

I have made grocery list note pads in the past and decided to create a new design with some of the products that will be retiring on June 2nd.  Everyone can use a grocery list, and when the pad is on the refrigerator with a magnet....all the better.

This note pad is actually going to a friend who had a baby recently - I am going to give this in place of a card, along with a meal delivered to her door.  The note pad will be useful in the days to come and a busy mom needs a place to jot down things to buy and errands to run.

Project Recipe

Stamp Set - So Very Happy
Ink - Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush
Cardstock - Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White
Accessories - 2" Circle Punch, Starburst Collection Framelits, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Stampin' Pierce Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, note pads

(products listed in "red" are retiring on June 2nd or while supplies last)

Below you can see a close up of the top of the notepad.  I am "So Very Happy" that there is a healthy new baby girl added to this special family.  And isn't this owl the cutest way to celebrate!

Get your "So Very Happy" stamp set now, while you can! After May 26th, the stamp set is available until June 2nd or while supplies last.

The next stop is Jane Knudsen at see jane stamp stop number 22 on the Pals Blog Hop!  Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!

Decorated Case and Set of Notecards

This set of notecards was given to the hostess at a recent card class and workshop.  The box is a half case wood-mount stamp case (yes empty cases are available for purchase).  Item #127552 - $4.95/4 pack.

I cut a piece of the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper to slip under the plastic sheet covering the case.  The 3-1/2 X 5" Whisper White Note Cards with Envelopes are an often overlooked item in the catalog.  You get 20 cards and 20 envelopes for only $5.95.  Isn't that a bargain?

I did a post recently on the notecards which you can see here.  On this set of cards, I used the Sophisticated Serifs stamp set for the monogram.

These note cards were quick and easy to make.  You don't have to spend a lot of time to make a beautiful gift!

Thanks for stopping by.  You can also visit me on Facebook at Deb's Stampin' Grounds. Please  "Like" my page and share with your friends.

Sophisticated Serifs - Great Gift for Friends and Teachers

I decorated a Clear Mount Stamp Case and put a note pad and note cards inside as a gift for a friend.  The original note pad was a bit too long for this case and I had the staff at Staples cut it down.  I was able to get 8-10 note pads cut for only $2.00!

The envelope holding the note cards was made with the Envelope Punch Board.  Below you can see  the clean and simple monogram note cards.

Stamp Set - Sophisticated Serifs
Ink - Blackberry Bliss
Cardstock - Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Old Olive, Park Lane DSP
Accessories - Envelope Punch Board, Sticky Strip, Finishing Touches Edgelits, 1-1/2" and 1-3/4" Circle Punches, Clear Mount Stamp Case (item #119105 - empty cases sold in packs of 4/$5.95)

This project is a great gift for a friend or co-worker.  It would also be perfect for an "end of the school year"  gift for a teacher!  Add a personalized stamp to make the gift extra special.

Thanks for stopping by.  Visit me on Facebook, at Deb's Stampin' Grounds, for more stamping inspiration.

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail....

Easter is right around the corner and it is the perfect time to show you an Easter basket made with the Berry Basket Bigz die.  But this die is not just for Easter.  You can create baskets and fill them for a birthday or get well to your friends/family..

Stamp Set - Mixed Bunch
Ink - Rose Red
Cardstock - Pacific Point, Painted Blooms DSP, Whisper White
Accessories - Berry Basket Bigz Die, Blossom and 3/4" Circle Punches, Stampin' Dimensionals

The "grass" in the basket was made using the Fringe Scissors with Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight, and Kraft cardstock.
Below you can see a card that I received as a swap at Leadership from another demonstrator.  It uses one side of the Berry Basket to create a flat basket for the flowers.

Have you heard the news?  Stampin' Up! is offering FREE SHIPPING from April 6-10th. Get your wish lists ready and shop on-line with me at  Please use the hostess code
